A fond favorite!
A year ago todayNikki & Pete were wed and I loved their collection so much that I just had to show it!
Nicole and Peter held a christmas themed wedding without all the bells, bows and greens. Nicole went for a more vintage look with cranberry and gold as her main colors. With her wedding dress as inspiration, we used a cream cardstock and double ribbon belly band with lace that emulated the lace in her dress. Nicole's collection included invitations, RSVP's, accomodation cards, direction cards, as well as programs (shown below) and escort cards.
Congrats Nikki & Pete on your first anniversary!!!

Princeton Fire Department
I've had the pleasure of working with the Princeton Fire Department in Princeton, NJ on their website graphics over the past week. I admire what these men and women do for their community so much! The Princeton Fire Department is completely 100% volunteer with 3 stations between Princeton Township and Borough and approximately 70 active members. Be sure to check out their web site and see what you can do to help!

What does urbanWrite really mean?
So many people that I meet as me how I came up with the name urbanWrite. So here's the story.
I like to think that my designs, although classical in thought, all have a modern twist to them. Something fun and unique that makes them different. But modernWrite doesn't really have that ring to it does it? Well here's where the urban really comes in. I consider urban areas- like NYC- are always up to speed on the hottest trends and most modern designs. While I don't live in NYC, it's always been a dream to do it for 1 year. But since Mr. A (my hubby) works here in Princeton, it really doesn't allow us that opportunity. So why not bring a little NYC to central New Jersey!
So that's really it- something catchy that really describes my designs- urban modern!

Stacy & Marc
It's hard to believe that almost 2 years has passed since I first met Stacy and Marc. Stacy and I worked together while designing her April 2007 wedding invites and she was such a fun bride to work with with such a fun theme! Stacy and Marc were going for a vintage english garden theme and she wanted a very intricate design without feeling old and stuffy. The pink and green combo definitely fixed that! To date it's still one of my favorite designs!

PHCC Summer Water Initiative
This summer, I had the pleasure of working with the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors on a summer water conservation initiative. The non-profit was looking for a postcard to market to their members for purchase as a way to inform their customers the positive effects of conserving water during the summer months. It was a wonderful project to work on! I felt as though I was helping the NAPHCC in erasing carbon footprints by helping them get the word out to customers throughout the country.
Most PHCC member plumbers are still honoring the free water audits even though their summer initiative dates have passed. Feel free to call your local plumber and ask if they offer this service!

Sheri & Brad's Engagement Party Invites
Last week I had the pleasure of creating engagement party invitations for Sheri & Brad. Sheri is one of my dearest friends who recently got engaged to her wonderful fiance Brad. Sheri had no idea what she wanted to do for the design but she chose the great phrase " He asked... she said yes!" and wanted pink within the design. I chose to create a funky, retro feel design incorporating the phrase and color scheme she wanted and added a monogram as well. Sheri absolutely loved them and I loved creating them for her!

The "every season" color palette!
Mauve and Blush: what an amazing year round color palette!
I just love the softness of these colors together. Paired with a hint of champagne or gold accents, it gives such an warm, antique look without feeling matronly. Paired with silver and crystal accents, these colors appear crisp, bold and modern without being overbearing. Perfect for winter, spring, summer and fall, you can't help but see the endless possibilities of these colors with this board.

For Sheri & Brad: Raspberry & Aqua!
So a friend of mine recently got engaged and she wants to use fushia in her color palette for her May wedding; her hubby-to-be wants to use blue. Well I may have found the perfect combination for them:
Raspberry and Aqua!
What a vibrant color scheme to start the summer off. Bright rasberry and aquas with hints of rose, lavander and green to soften it up! I'm hoping to create an inspiration board based on these colors but for now I'll share a few photos!
Enjoy Sheri & Brad!
